Amdocs DOX lately announced it has been chosen as the Portuguese electronics magnate’s digital conversion partner — Altice Portugal.

It is reported that its amdocsONE suite of products and facilities will provide accessible and flexible alternatives to assist Altice Portugal to modernize activities for consumers and company clients across its cellular, wireline, mobile Internet and television lines.

Besides, migration to amdocsONE will allow Altice Portugal to improve agility and IT speed and enhance the first digital experience of clients.

Amdocs will turn procedures such as item definition, lead management, setup of company prices, order submission and accounting for Altice Portugal.

Amdocs remains to grow its global customer base by securing long-term agreements and working with significant competitors in the worldwide telecommunications industry. Amdocs reported a record high 12-month backlog of $3.34 billion in fiscal 2018, which includes major transformation projects with global service providers like Comcast, T-Mobile, Altice and DISH in North America; Vodafone British Telecom, Orange in Europe; América Móvil, Airtel, Telstra, SingTel and Globe in the remainder of the globe.

Announced in May this year that the DigitalONE platform will be rolling out to modernize and enhance Sprint’s (S) digital transition as part of the latter’s attempts to modernize IT. It also announced in the same month that it has expanded its collaboration with Telefonica to support the digital transformation projects of Telefonica, especially in Argentina and Chile. As part of a digital IT modernization initiative, Amdocs collaborated with PJSC VimpelCom earlier this year.

Such deals boost the top line of the company. Revenues were $1.04 billion in the third quarter of fiscal 2019, up 2.2% from the quarter of August, motivated by the digital modernization demands of many of Amdoc’s applications, pay-TV and media clients.
