The Regional Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Neo of Sompo Holdings Asia that has its headquarters in Singapore has announced some new leadership appointments as well as regional initiatives throughout Asia Pacific (APAC) which shall be focusing on travel, company strategy, and digital today. Mr. Neo along with his team members from senior leadership made a speech at the head office of Sompo Holdings in Tokyo and laid emphasis on the regional aspirations of being the absolute best in Travel insurance and among Top 5 in the Motor insurance in ASEAN, along with reaching a 100 million US dollars profit by the year 2023. As a part of the Sompo Holdings group, the fourteen markets that are under Sompo Asia Pacific have contributed five per cent to the global gross of the group that has written premiums in the year of 2018.

Having Travel as one of the top most priorities and Sompo being a strong and trusted insurance brand of Japan, Sompo Asia has launched a brand new Travel insurance product called Go JAPAN by TravelJoy throughout the region having notable coverage for enhancing the experience in Japan. An increased trend in the inbound travelers to Japan has been expected within the coming two years, particularly during the major seasonal as well as sporting events. Go JAPAN, at present, is visible in Singapore as well as Thailand, and shall also be made available to the remaining Asian markets by the year 2020.
