Reaching new heights at the box office, Vijay starrer ‘ Bigil’ has arisen as one of Tamil’s most popular movies. Vijay’s’ Bigil’ has grossed Rs 135 crore in Tamil Nadu and is recognized as the state’s highest-grossing Tamil film, according to the latest report on BoxofficeIndia.com. Bigil’ exceeded the’ Viswasam’ of Thala Ajith, which had gross revenue of Rs 132 crore in the state and released this year together with the’ Petta’ of Rajinikanth. Yet’ Bigil’ failed to beat the’ Baahubali 2: The Conclusion ‘ series in Tamil Nadu published in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
Bigil’ has received more than Rs 300 crore globally and has emerged as the 2019 Tamil’s highest size film. During Diwali’s festive event, the movie, which hit the screens, still holds a decent number of screens at the box office in its fifth week.
Bigil’ is the story of an ex-soccer player trying to fulfil his dream and taking revenge for the death of his uncle. In the film that also stars Jackie Shroff, Daniel Balaji, Varsha Bollamma, Induja Ravichandran, Yogi Babu and Amritha Aiyer in important roles, Vijay and Nayanthara play the leads. Atlee directs the sports drama and is created by AGS Entertainments, and AR Rahman composes the music.
