The Founder of Patient Safety and Access Initiative of India Foundation as well as Partnership for Safe Medicines (PSM) India Initiative, Bejon Misra, in his address, expressed gratitude for the jury members Dr. KK Kalra and also Dr. Ratna Devi for their constant support as well as guidance in making the decision of the deserving winners. He further requested all the people that were present at the occasion for filing more nominations in the upcoming future and competing with each other for understanding where they stood when it came to healthcare delivery.
Misra also lauded the hospitals which took part in the awards for their praiseworthy work throughout the years. He said that the private healthcare sector of India had been an amazing contributor towards the system of healthcare towards the country. The scenario of healthcare could have been in a far worse state if it was not for the efforts and struggles of the private sector.
He further stated that the government did not even contribute twenty per cent of the system of healthcare delivery of the country. Eighty per cent of it was delivered by their private sector. He also shared his views on how everyone wanted UHC and how the Ayushman Bharat played a vital role in that mission. The prime motive of Ayushman Bharat was to provide best healthcare to everybody and how the cost of healthcare delivery was a very relative term. The most important factor for healthcare is the quality of it being provided and that their country must entirely focus on developing better rules and regulations for the standards of quality.
