Brand USA, the U.S. branding hub, announced the national viewing debut of “America’s Musical Journey,” launched in conjunction with Expedia Group and Air Canada, on GoUSA TV, the travel entertainment network of Brand USA.
The movie, which debuted in 2018 in IMAX and giant screen theatres, stars Aloe Blacc, a singer and songwriter nominated for the Grammy Award. Throughout the movie, Blacc brings fans on a cross-country journey to discover America’s artistic roots and the urban communities where Popular music was founded.
“GoUSA TV presents us with the ability to stream inspiring, US-specific content for people around the world,” said Brand USA president and CEO Christopher L. Thompson. “America’s Musical Journey” offers a glimpse into how our culture becomes rooted in the history of towns and cities across the country and will inspire audiences to come and discover such experiences on their own. “GoUSA TV is available for streaming on Roku, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV, or through the iTunes app and Google Play on Android phones.
The Travel Promotion Act founded Destination USA Brand USA, the U.S. destination promotion agency, as the nation’s first public-private alliance to advertise the U.S. as a leading travel destination and convey U.S. travel policies and procedures to travellers around the world. The goal of the association is to maximize global U.S. tourism to boost the U.S. economy and improve the U.S. brand worldwide.
The public-private entity, founded as the Corporation of Travel Promotion in 2010, started operations in May 2011 and continues as Brand USA. According to Oxford Economics reports, over the last six years, Brand USA’s promotional campaigns have managed to attract 6.6 million additional travellers to the USA, supporting the US economy with over $21.8 billion in total economic impact and funding.
