The growth story cannot be drawn without counting in the automobile sector

India Inc. has a dream of becoming the world’s 3rd largest economy by 2030 and have also kept an ambitious goal of reaching to the five trillion-dollar mark by 2024 in the process to establish their credentials in terms of market potential and the consumer markets adaptability to changing conditions whilst all at the same time keeping the growth momentum intact and producing the big bucks for all the stakeholders involved including the government which has been pushing the entrepreneurial side of the things to pick up with a lot of schemes for monetary stimulus given to the sector under various centrally launched schemes such as MUDRA and others which aim to pick their focus on Micro and Small Manufacturing Enterprises (MSME) and SME’s which are the bedrock for any economy to kick-start on the coveted ladder of double-digit growth markings and effectively make it viable for the market to consume them and adapt with them.

The industry leaders feel that this growth phenomenon cannot be accomplished without the support and higher contribution of the automotive industry which is one of the largest sectoral employers in the country and the basic consumption market which is driven by incomes of the augmented societies are heavily dependent on this sector for their necessities. Major manufacturers such as Tata and Mahindra have come forward to state that there is no reason to panic in the slowdown and job cuts won’t be an operating phenomenon of the phase through which the industry is currently passing, but in hindsight, if seen from the spectrum of adding people to the workforce who are not able to land a job poses a serious enough threat to the consumption rate that has been dipping for the past financial year and has been hitting low every time there seems to have been optimism towards a growth figure.
