The improving transition away from manual transmission cars

transmission cars

Recently I went through some figures which revealed a bit of information regarding the way the marketplace has changed.
At present, we are at a point where only around 1 percent of newly sold cars have standard transmissions. It took nearly ten decades, however, it seems like the automatic transmission has just about shifting gears away from the stick shifts. I might be the only one who still has a memory of the experience of learning to drive on a manual car. The very first car that I drove was a ’51 Ford, which had a manual gearbox. Likewise, so many others that followed were manual transmission cars.
Coming on to the electric cars, which are the least-popular powertrain. Electric Vehicles accounted for only 2 percent of new-car sales, as per the reports on the latest J.D. Power study. The majority of those came from Tesla and its unconventional sales channel.
According to my thinking, Europe is the one behind the push for electric vehicles, where there is huge political pressure for electrics, as well as, from China, which believes that its own firms can take hold of the technological lead.
Apparently, the manufacturers are not concerned about what the public is interested in buying, rather they are just coming up with enormous numbers of new electric vehicles due to the pressure exerted by the governments everywhere exclusive of North America.
We are all waiting to see the response from Americans when electric vehicles will be made available in the United States. To make it more exciting, numerous commercial vehicle manufacturers are tapping into the marketplace. They might have a good fortune with this entry, however, this will be revealed by the time.
Even though it will take a lot of years for Americans to decipher how they want to power their vehicles, already they have strongly made a decision that the future is not bright for stick-shift cars.
